The Powerscourt estate in the Wicklow Mountains is certainly one of the most magnificent in Ireland. It spans 45 acres and the grounds include walled gardens, a lake, Japanese garden, a pet cemetery and scenic meandering walks and trails. The gardens lie at the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain which contributes to the sweeping panoramic vistas.
